Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, April Eight was immersed in a rich tapestry of music.

As the youngest of five, she absorbed the sounds of artists ranging from The Beatles to Dolly Parton, gathering with her family around the piano to sing from The Great American Songbook. Her explorations of nearby lakes and woods fostered a deep love for the natural world, alive with wonder.

April channels her Americana roots and passion for nature into the songs and stories shared on The April Eight Songs & Stories Podcast. With extensive touring experience across the U.S. and Europe, she has performed a Peel Session on BBC Radio One, played at Lollapalooza, and recorded at both Prince's Paisley Park and John Mellencamp's Belmont Mall.

Her original songs have been featured in hit television shows like “True Blood” and “Men of a Certain Age.” Additionally, April is a dedicated Waldorf and traditional teacher.

With her wealth of experience, musicality, and love of storytelling, April Eight captivates audiences of all ages.
