Happy New Year!

Dear Friends, Happy New Year 2015!

It was an unexpectedly busy Autumn for me this year. As I have mentioned before, I am in Waldorf Teacher Training at the Great Lakes Waldorf Institute and, as luck would have it, I was asked in September to jump in as the 3rd grade co-teacher at the Cincinnati Waldorf School. Since then I’ve been working with 26 brilliant and adorable, shining 8-and 9-year old students.

We’ve been farming, building shelters, reading, writing, painting, form drawing, nailing down our times tables, making candles, cooking, singing and laughing together. If you don’t know much about Waldorf education and you are looking for a great school for your child (anywhere in the world) I frankly just beg you to look into Waldorf. Personally, it has been an amazing gift to my family.

The Seasons

I still had time to lead several great songwriting workshops (at Modo and Leo) and perform solo (did you know I write for adults too?) and play several shows with my family in the last few months. I’m look forward to more events this coming Spring and Summer. I have all sorts of new tricks up my sleeve (besides learning to juggle)…

Probably the thing I’m MOST excited about is that I’m also writing a novel (well, it is a trilogy, of course!) for middle schoolers. There will be excerpts, drawings and short stories from this work (if you want to call the most fun I’ve ever had in my life “work”) posted to this blog in the coming months.

Blessing to all of you in 2015.
